Management Team

Investments in distressed companies require a high level of know how and a skill set which differs from the traditional private equity business. Particularly important is a long standing experience in operational management of companies. Furthermore, an active support of portfolio companies in a turnaround situation requires specific management experience with distressed companies.

Dr. Frank Töfflinger is founder and Managing Director of INDUC GmbH and worked for several years with The Carlyle Group (one of the leading global private equity firms). As managing director he held the responsibility for several large midsize portfolio companies in special situations, focusing on their strategic reorientation, restructuring and growth by acquisition and joint ventures. Before joining Carlyle he served for over 3 years as managing director of Schoeller Packaging Systems (a worldwide operating group for production and logistics of returnable packaging systems) and was jointly responsible for extensive restructuring processes - main focus on the subsidiaries IFCO Systems and MTS GmbH - and the requirements of the subsequent flotation (IPO). Prior to this task he exercised the positions of managing director and finance director at IMM Office Systems Holding for a period of 3 years (Europe´s largest producer-independent dealer and service group for copy and fax machines) and has implemented fundamental restructuring and turnaround processes.

Dr. Töfflinger began his professional career in 1990 at IMM Industrie Management München as M&A consultant (one of the leading buyout groups in Germany - today "Triumph-Adler AG)". Afterwards he took over the responsibility as project manager at the largest portfolio company, IMM Office Systems Holding. Dr. Töfflinger is Dr. rer. pol. (PhD in economics), studied in Göttingen, St. Gallen and Munich and completed both state examinations in law in Munich.

The INDUC management team consists of interdisciplinary managers who have complementary skill sets and many years of operational experience in diverse industries, especially turnaround experience in medium sized ("mittelständisch") companies.
